Talk on Harvesting bananas in St Vincent’s

Pupils sampled banana bread, bananas and made bracelets from Bananas leaves and heard about growing bananas, life and tourism on the Island as well as stressing the importance to them of the Fairtrade Premium and the good conditions of work that being Fairtrade ensures.
Veronica Browns came to Sidmouth College where she helped lead a well planned presentation on St Vincent’s Banana growing with activities for Year 7 pupils and about 20 pupils from The nearby Primary School.
